DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER

To the fair maiden he whispers,

To a place we’ll be together,

Leave with me now and regret you’ll never

For my love for you burns like ether.

To the fair maiden he says,

I want forever with you to stay

With you to cry and to play

This to my dear God I pray.

To the fair maiden he’d called,

Upon seeing her in the raging storm

I promise to love you, to keep you warm

You and our little newborn.

To the other side the fair maiden pilgrims,

He still talks to her in his painful dreams

Feels her touch in the morning breeze

Her tender kiss on his now dry lips.

To the fair maiden he whispers,

To a place we’ll be together

I’ll follow you and regret I’ll never

For our love burns like ether;

Diamonds; are forever.

I WISHED UPON A STAR

I WISHED UPON A STAR

Last night I saw a shooting star

I wondered how many from near and far

Watched it travel through the dark

And what they wished for wherever they were.

I wondered how many missed its splendor

The beauty it left as it wandered

And how their lives would be like

Had they just looked up at the sky.

I wondered how many wished nothing at all

They believe not in shooting stars or passing cars

I wondered how many times they’d fall

How many bruises and how many scars.

I wondered where all our wishes it took

If among them all the star would hear me too

If the star did indeed wish us well

But there was no way for me to tell.

I just know this one thing to be true

In that moment, my life felt so new.

GOODNIGHT MY LOVE

GOODNIGHT MY LOVE

So far away from me

With the rain and the warmth of the coast

Would you dream of me maybe?

Of our future, of our beautiful babies.

Lying here in our lonely bed

The city night seems to have no end

Maybe I’ll close my eyes and pretend

That you lie next to me in your beautiful red dress.

So far away from home

Wherever your mind may roam

I pray that it is us you see;

We could be gods living wild and free

Or just lovers by the big blue sea,

Oh how beautiful dreams can be.

So far away from here

I pray that these words reach your ear

With the salt and wind in your hair

May your night be fair my dear.

Hero – Poem by sara messina

Hero

No one sits with him
he doesnt fit in
we feel like we do when we make fun of him
cause you want to belong
Do you go along
his pain is the price paid for you to belong
its not like you hate him or want him to die
but maybe he goes home and thinks suicide
or he comes back to school with a gun at his side
and a kindness from you might have saved his life

Heros are made when you make a choice
you could be a hero
heros do whats right
you could be a hero
you might save a life
you could be a hero
you could join the fight
for whats rights, for what right, for whats right

no one talks to her she feels so alone
shes in to much pain to survive on her own
the hurt she cant handle overflows to a knive
she writes on her arm
wants to give up her life
each day she goes on is a day thats shes brave
fighting the lie that giving up is the way
each moment of courage
her own life she saves
when she throws the pills out
a hero is made

you could be a hero
heros do whats right
you could be a hero
you might save a life
you could be hero
you could join the fight
for whats right, for whats right, for whats right

no one talks to him about how he lives
he thinks that the choices he makes are just his
doesnt know hes a leader with hte way he behaves
and others will follow the choices hes made
he lives on the edge
hes old enough to decide
his brother who wants to be him is just nine
he can do what he wants
because its his right
the choices he makes change a nine year olds life

Heros are made when you make a choice
