POEMS BY A GUEST POET : “LONE GIRL STANDING”

http://lonegirlstandingblog.wordpress.com

DESOLATE

Was I so wrong?
Was I so bad?
Lost everything
Everything I had

Is it this world?
Is it just me?
Terrible I feel
When I just want to be

Feelings pour out
But words stay in
Witness to my fault
Silent witness to my sin

For yes, I have sinned
Wrong that I was
I was at fault
Believing in lost cause

Had hope in people
Had faith in them
I was so naive
Only I am to blame

I have learned now
Now I finally know
I will be on my own
It will always be so

******************

HAVE I LOST YOU

Have I lost you
When I can’t see
but sense your lingering
presence around me?
Have I lost you?

Have I lost you
When I hear everyday
your loud, boisterous laugh
while silent, brooding I lay?
Have I lost you?

Have I lost you
When I feel your soft kiss
on my tearful face
filling me with peaceful bliss?
Have I lost you?

Have I lost you
When in your scent I drown
as my eyes fill with love
and wipe that intense frown?
Have I lost you?

Have I lost you
When I remember this all
that you still live in my heart
will come rushing at my silent call?
Have I lost you?

**********************************

DO

I do what I love
Doing what gives me pleasure
I enjoy process
And every moment I treasure
Smiling I face the odds
Troubles I heads on greet
Defeating them all
Makes success twice as sweet
Do the thing you love
And you’ll forget all the sweat
You’ll come out a winner
Nothing you’ll regret.

THE SEAMLESS OCEAN OF LIFE

The seamless ocean of life ahead
the mysteries beyond which I cannot see,
but that treasure of knowledge is within reach
Just how to reach depends on me.

The ocean is big, so is my thirst
Will ever my curiosity let me be?
The water is ready for me to drink
Just when to drink depends on me

Thousand questions running in my mind
The ocean’s depth holds the answer, I see
If I want I can hear them whispering
Just when to hear depends on me.

Who am I, whose this body is?
What are oceans, rivers and the sea
If I want to know about it
He who knows it all will tell me.

NUANCE OF LIFE-A GUEST POETRY BY “KARAM”FROM USA

http://ancientbeautyblog.wordpress.com

Nuance of Life

In the smoke of life, I stand!

Hazy and unknown objects approach,

I tackle with, as they attack

Some are sweet-bees and some vicious bats.

One side an angelic light is seen,

It pulls me towards it, and forces.

The other side is a dark one,

It shows me love and mesmerizes.

Which path should I choose?

Nuance of voice, Nuance of intentions,

Difficult to distinct value each has.

Life will be a struggle throughout,

Between temptations and righteous deeds.

Choose a side and follow that path.

Standing in the middle looking confused

Soon the voices will go mute.

Guest post Poetry:-“YEARNING HEART”

Yearning Heart

I will have you in front of me one day
Smile, look at you smile back, and shy away,
Sit you down and just gaze at you.
I will be on the seventh sky, sorrow no longer true.

Till that day arrives there is this yearning.
A lamp of absence that keeps burning.
Longing for your touch that ignites fire
Our souls entwined is my desire.
Becoming one is something of fantasy,
It can be possible if you can be my ecstasy.

Come to your beloved as I adorn,
Wear garments with jewels, never worn.
I will embrace you with all the love there is
We will chatter whatever your heart says.

Guest Poetry from PARAS “MY LAST WORDS”

https://moseyinpoesy.wordpress.com/

LAST WORDS

Youre familiar with the face of my darkness,
Shadows and shades of my brokenness.
My most beloved, forgive me
For the hurt I inflicted upon you.
I
m scared as you know my whole
And it terrifies me to witness
How effortlessly you fill all my gaps.
But I`m more an addict than a slave
To my melancholy.
Narcotics induce numbness, not to sorrow,
For it augments my cherophobia.
Let yourself; the light of my life, be absent,
And let life escape and abandon death with me.
My last thought; I ponder if I offered enough
Happiness to surpass the measure of suffering and dolours.

Reach for my heart as I reach for your hand
For I dont possess the divinity
To touch your heart or your enlivening virgin kiss.
Through the penance and amercement, my soul,
Will elope with what I never had; hope
To find what I never felt underneath; light.
And someday when I return intact,
I
ll wrap you in my absolute warmth
And shower you with my lit and free joy and love

RAINBOW IN A DESERT

“LAST TIME I SAW YOU”by a Guest Poet-Jillian Joyce of Scotland

https://outtherepress.wordpress.com/blog/

“Last Time I Saw You”

You lived on Bank Street

third floor, top left –

I remember the door,

holding my breath,

as it opened

and you’d appear

with a book in your hand,

a cutting remark

on the tip of your tongue.

Naked one time;

still slippy

from the water I could hear gurgling in the drain.

Your flatmate watching as I

slip awkwardly from your grasp,

face blank as stone

while we play stoner games

I keep winning;

laughing all the way back out your door.

Later you drag me to a café

with your new and far more suitable girlfriend.

She and I studiously avoid each other’s gaze

( thanking god for the hangers-on who are tripping balls, Man)

me, because she is so much prettier than I:

her, because she is so far above me

she might be riding on a cloud.

I watch her flawless mouth

sip bitter expresso,

marble with anxiety

over who will be next?

(You have already jokingly informed me

you are working very hard on one of her friends.)

The urge to gorge on the pain of others

flows strong along old Bavarian waterways.

The forests around familiar towns

are filling up with graves.

In another life

where painful truths

coexist with uneasy truce,

I tried to tell you, last time I saw you.

‘You frighten me,’

I said, (or words to that effect)

‘With your appetites and your disregard for the rest of the human race,’

but you just laughed and rolled over and went back to sleep

A Very Romantic poetry:-“HAN YE MOHABBAT HAI” (YES IT IS LOVE)

     “HAN YE MOHABBAT HAI”

Hota hai Jab Zikra-e-Mohabbat to Naam Zehan me Tera Aata hai,
Mohabbat Mayne Sirf Tu hai Mujhe To bas Inta Samajh Aata hai .

Main khud bhi Aazma Leta hun Apni Mohabbat ki Dewangi Kabhi,
Ki band Karun Jaise hi Aankhen To Chehra Tera Nazar Aata hai.

Hai Mujhko is Baat ka Ahsaas ki Maujood nahi hai Paas Tu mere,
To Phir Pehlu me Baitha ho Tu Jaise dil ye Kyun Ahsaas Karata hai.

Mar Jaaye Jo Kisi ki Yaad Me Usey Deewaana Kahte Hain Log,
To Phir Marey Jo Har Lamha Kisi ke Liye Wo Kya Kahlaata hai.

Chahey Laakh Khafa Rahun Tujhse Main Teri Kisi Baat Se Lekin,
Dekhta Hun Jaise hi Soorat Teri To Phir Pyaar Aa Jaata hai.

Peeye Itne Ashq Teri Aankhon Se Maine Ki ab To Ye Aalam hai,
Ki Udhar Jab Roti Tu hai To Idhar ‘Aatif’ Aansun Bahaata hai.
